LINKS YOU CAN USE.Here are some links where you can keep up to date on the election, review some of the organizations I work with, and learn more about North Las Vegas. City of North Las Vegas, City Council Ward Three – Do you live in ward three? View a map of the place I live and am running to represent. City of North Las Vegas, Elections Department– The official City of North Las Vegas Elections Website. Look up information on candidates, races and voting information. State of Nevada: Clark County Election Department: Election information for everyone in Clark County. If you are not certain that you are registered to vote, this is the place to look. COMMUNITY INTEREST AND HELP LINKS:Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni North (CPAAN) a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the North Las Vegas Police Department. My Husband, Doug, and I both joined the organization in the spring of 2001, and remain active in CPAAN. Doug is currently a member-at-large and a former Vice President, and I am the newly appointed Treasurer. Friends of the North Las Vegas Library District, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting North Las Vegas’ libraries. I served as the secretary and since 2003 as the President of the Board. During my tenure, North Las Vegas has opened a second library, with a third set to open in March 2009. This year, the Friends will have a special project; we will be selling engraved commemorative bricks to be placed at the new Alexander Library. These funds will be used to meet the Library’s needs.
